Supmea ASP2065 | Precision pH Glass Electrode
The SUP-ASP2065 is a high-stability combination electrode integrating a lithium-glass indicator and a silver/silver chloride (Ag/AgCl) reference system. Engineered for high-duration monitoring, it prioritizes chemical inertness and reference stability through a traditional glass-body architecture and a specialized pin-type ceramic junction.
Field Summary: This is a precision instrument designed for longevity in drinking water, surface water, and specific industrial aqueous solutions. While it excels in "cleaner" streams, its electrochemical construction is also notably resilient in nickel or chromium-bearing wastewater where polymer sensors may degrade, provided the stream is free of heavy suspended solids.
Metrological Integrity & Design
- Lithium-Glass Membrane: The sensing tip utilizes a specialized glass membrane selectively permeable to H⁺ ions, maintaining a stable hydrated gel layer for precise potential generation.
- Advanced Reference System: Utilizes a gelled Ag/AgCl/KCl reference system. The gel electrolyte, combined with the pin-type ceramic junction, ensures a stable reference potential with a controlled leak rate, minimizing drift over extended operational cycles.
- Chemical Resilience: Beyond standard water treatment, this electrode is specifically rated for aqueous solutions containing heavy metals (Nickel, Chromium), making it a robust choice for electroplating and finishing process monitoring.
- High-Resolution Thermal Compensation: Equipped with a PT1000 RTD for real-time Nernstian slope correction, ensuring ±0.1 pH accuracy across its 0-90 ℃ operating range.
Operational Limitations & Maintenance
The pin-type ceramic junction is a micro-porous salt bridge. It is not suitable for high-fouling environments containing suspended solids, high-viscosity sludge, or fats/oils. Such environments will lead to junction "cloaking," resulting in increased response lag and calibration failure. Regular cleaning with dilute HCl or specialized thiourea solutions is recommended if used in heavy metal wastewater to maintain junction porosity.

Installation & Wiring
The sensor must be installed at an angle of at least 15° above the horizontal to ensure the internal buffer remains in contact with the pH-sensitive glass tip. For wiring to the analyzer, ensure the high-impedance "Input" lead is kept dry and shielded to prevent signal noise.
